Interview

  • Tell us what you consider to be your greatest life experience.
The best experience I had in my life was as an 11 year old when a song that I wrote was entered into a song writing competition that I won. I was the guest of honor in this cathedral which was full to capacity. My parents even bought me my first suit, which was a size too big for this event. After a young lady was finished singing my song, I was asked to stand so that the audience could see who I was. I was terrified. I almost peed myself. But the roar of the crowd quickly put me at ease. That experience I always recall whenever I feel insecure about any undertaking I am about to pursue. It turns me around really quickly.
  • How do you go that ‘extra mile' in your life?
I like many others battle everyday with anxiety. This battle is why I at times can be such the extrovert because in order to not be crippled by anxiety, one has to jump into the situation and then stay ahead of it. So everyday I go the "Extra Mile" in order to make sure that not only that I live my life, But that I live it with vigor!
  • If you have to pick one thing that everyone else should absolutely know about you, what would it be?
What do I want you to absolutely know about me? I have learned to live my life for me and not be concerned about how others judge me or what they think of me. So many people are so concerned about what another fragile, mortal, imperfect human being thinks about them. Once I figured out how ridiculous it is to hold myself to someone else's standard, someone who is perhaps more broken than myself (whether a stranger or a familiar), was the day of my independence.
  • What are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I love to practice on my guitar, paint, watch foreign programs and learn new languages.
  • What do you do for fun?
I do enjoy being around positive, interesting people and exchanging experiences. It broadens my perspective to see things from another's point of view. That is why I enjoy immensely meeting people from cultures and backgrounds different than mine. I meet these kind of people in meetups and even at the bars. But if you open your eyes and let go of any prejudices you may have, interesting people with depth are all around you.
  • What is your ‘niche’?
If I understand the question correctly, my "Niche' is for the more sophisticated client who appreciates both brawn and intellect.
  • What are your greatest personal traits?
My greatest attribute is that I can be kind without being taken advantage of. I can be firm and consequent without being mean.
  • What makes you stand out from the crowd?
I can not compare myself to others. I can only speak from my perspective. I am real. What you see...or read is basically who I am. I do not do anything that I do not want to do or meet up with someone just because. There has to be a genuine mutual interest. Otherwise, it is just a hustle.
  • How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or you are more of a homebody?
I have traveled quite a bit. I love to travel and experience new and different cultures. While in europe, I have traveled to many european countries. But eventhough I like to travel, I also can enjoy being at home...but not for long. :-)
  • What kind of diet and fitness regiment do you follow?
I do not follow a regime because I do not like schedules and following plans so much. Doing so just makes me anxious. What works for me is just to eat healthy but not to stress about it. I prefer to cook my own meals and include my protein, vegetables and starches. But I do not count calories. I even eat the occasional fast food from time to time and I do not feel at all guilty about it because I train hard, intense but short. I am not a gym head and only spend an hour at most in the gym. Any longer for me is just a waste where I could be doing other fun things.
  • What’s your lifestyle? What makes you who you are?
I would describe my lifestyle as both active, yet peaceful. I love to dance, to meet people, to go out. But I also know how to enjoy my quiet time and just chill.
  • What would you like your followers to know about you that is unique and even a bit personal?
When I was a kid, I suffered from extreme social anxiety. It was difficult for me to connect with other kids and people in general. This continued throughout my early 20's until I made a pact with myself to change this. I wanted more out of this existence! It was a difficult and sometimes awkward process coming out of my shell. But I found out that the way to overcome anything that paralyzes you is to do the thing that you fear the most..and keep ahead of it, like a surfer riding a wave.....always! Now, no one would ever believe that social anxiety is something I had a problem with because I am usually one of the more outgoing ones in a group.
  • If you and I were on the beach having some wine and great food, what would you tell me about yourself.
If I was sitting on the beach with you and drinking wine and eating great food...and when the feeling is right, I will tell you about my personal journey of self-discovery and growth as a person and human being. I would share with you my personal experience of making whatever bad experience you might have had work to your benefit....that is much better and more fun to be a 'Victor' (notice the play on my name 'Victor' lol) than a victim.
  • What do you enjoy most about yourself?
What I enjoy most about myself is that I love my own company and I have learned to appreciate who I am in-spite of my shortcomings and faults. I enjoy the fact that I laugh at myself when I do something stupid (which happens more than I care to share). I do not take myself seriously at all. It makes life so much enjoyable to let go and just have fun.
  • What should others absolutely know about you?
I speak fluent german. I am a sci fi junkie, love watching 'Hogan's Heroes' reruns and I bawl like a big baby when watching the television series "This is us'! LOL. Also, I do not have any racial hangups. People...can we all just get along?!
  • Name 5 things that you can’t live without.
I have been practicing fitness training since I was a teenager. I definitely can not live without it. For me, it has more to do with how it makes me feels, mentally and physically. I do it for me and not to get compliments from others. Although it is flattering to get them from time to time. I love music, especially music that is not mainstream. I lived in Germany for many years and absolutely love german music. Many people outside of German speaking countries would be surprised how good a lot of it is; especially their pop and dance genres. I also love brazilian music because it is both happy and chill at the same time. It has really helped to pull me out of a bad mood more times than I can count! The other things I absolutely can not live without would be a warm shower at least 2 times a day, and lastly the internet so I can watch my foreign programs and stay in touch with family and friends!
